Lean Screen SPF 50+ Mattifying Zinc
*SHIPPING FROM WEDNESDAY 13TH*
Our most-requested skinscreen ever, Lean Screen is a zinc-only mineral SPF50+ that doesn’t look or feel gross on the skin. That’s right, it won’t feel heavy, you won’t look like a cricketer, and sensitive skin won’t have a bitch fit. You’re welcome!
Been searching high and low for a mineral-only SPF that you’ll actually want to wear? Our Lean Screen, with her zinc-only SPF50+, fragrance-free formula, hits different. She won’t make your skin all sticky, yucky or heavy, but she will soothe sensitive types and leave a subtle matte finish in her wake – perfect for anyone with oily or reactive skin, or those that just prefer a physical sunscreen.
Every damn day, even when you’re staying indoors (srsly we mean it)! Apply as the final step in your skincare routine, right after your moisturiser and before your makeup. We recommend at least five pumps to cover your face and ears (don’t forget about those!).
Zinc – Nothing more, nothing less. Zinc oxide protects your skin from UVA and UVB rays while working as a soothing anti-inflammatory to reactive, angry skin.
Pentavitin – Think of this plant-derived ingredient as a refreshing hit of hydration for your face, so you’re moisturising and protecting it at the same time. Side effects include plump, juicy skin and a solid sense of self-satisfaction.
Kakadu Plum – Did you know this Aussie native has 50 times more vitamin C than an orange? Allow us to be Kakadu Plum’s hype girl for a sec – she’s hydrating, she’s brightening and she’s chock-full of antioxidants. Consider KP that gal at the bar who watches your drink when you go to the bathroom – she’ll guard your skin against all those annoying free radicals that just love to hassle your pretty face (nope, not on her watch!).

Lean Screen SPF 50+ Mattifying Zinc
I purchased this after a recent bout of dermatitis as I was hoping to clean up my skincare to help the condition heal, which thankfully it has. I loved popping this sunscreen on for days when I wasn't wearing any makeup, it feels thick, calming, nourishing and luxurious and gave my face a nice matte finish that I felt improved the way my skin looked. I am very pale (I would call myself almost translucent) and this product does leave a tint on me which I didn't mind. It does react with some of my other products - I applied a light BB cream over the top and the sunscreen piled and rolled off my face in a greyish goo, the same thing happened when applied over a certain moisturiser. I also feel as though having to reapply 5 pumps throughout the day for protection is a lot of product and while you are paying for an Australian-made, high-quality Australian brand it's important to note that the price point is may not be achievable for many. I do love the fact that Ultra Violette is an Australian brand with great ethics and values and I am going to try another sunscreen from them before deciding whether I will repurchase this one to keep for days when I am makeup-free or having a dermatitis flare up. I would love to have it on rotation.
Love the texture on the skin. I can apply this in the morning and midday and not finish the day looking super greasy. Also doesn't cause me to break out which is great. It does pill with some serums underneath but that doesn't worry me because I don't use any serums/moisturisers in the morning usually. The issue for me is the tint, it is way too dark/warm toned for me. If it came in a lighter shade for fairer and cooler toned skin then it would be PERFECT
Doesn’t aggravate my eczema! She’s still thick like most zinc sunscreens, but rubs in nicely. I have dry skin and I can still use this with out it making it worse. Lovely finish. Lovvvveeee that it’s fragrance free because I get eyelid dermatitis when using fragrance. And love that it’s zinc because I easily get skin reactions to other filters.
I have not used
This is the best sunscreen ever created. I’ve tried a few in the range and this by far suits my skin the best. What I love most about Lean Screen is that it doesn’t make my shiny-prone skin even shinier! It stays on well and I love the tint, no foundation required, got to love that!
