Meet our partner, Full Stop Australia

Future-Proofing, For Good

At Ultra Violette, everything we do is dedicated to creating layers of protection for our community, which is why we have partnered with Full Stop Australia to help share their mission to end sexual, domestic and family violence.

Full Stop has been providing sexual, domestic and family violence crisis, support and advocacy services to those in need for more than 50 years. As a female-founded, non-profit organisation started in Sydney’s Redfern, the organisation was also the very first to specialise in sexual violence response and recovery in Australia.

We hold the deepest respect for what the team at Full Stop do, which is why we are honoured to work with them on this important cause that’s very close to our hearts. Together we hope to spread greater awareness about the critical resources that they provide, as well as support their mission to put a full stop to violence.

How we’re working together

Upon checkout on our Australian website, our community will be offered the opportunity to make a donation to Full Stop Australia. Together we’re hoping to raise $25,000 to support 500 trauma-specialist counselling sessions for those impacted by sexual, domestic and family violence.

the statistics show

  • An estimated 2.8 million people aged 18 years and over (14%) experienced sexual violence (assault and/or threat) since the age of 15, 2.2 million of whom are women.
  • More than 1 in 3 girls and almost 1 in 5 boys experience Child Sexual Abuse.
  • Reported sexual assault in NSW has increased by 10.1% per year on average from 2018 – 2023.
  • We know that there are many barriers to reporting and holding perpetrators accountable for sexual violence.
  • On average, only 8% of people report to police.
  • Sexual violence disproportionately impacts some communities including; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, people with disability, LGBTQ+ communities and remote and regional communities.

Full Stop’s services offer free, 24/7 trauma-specialist support from the first call, to both victim-survivors and the professionals and loved ones supporting them. During the months of May and June 2024, Full Stop Australia provided over 3,500 counselling sessions across all services. We want to ensure that in a national crisis, we can help to future-proof this important resource so that these services can continue to support the people who need it.

A note from Ultra Violette Co-Founders Ava & Bec

"Full Stop Australia is doing extraordinary work supporting and advocating for people affected by sexual, domestic and family violence. It’s incredibly important to us that we move towards a world where all women feel safe – always.  As a mostly-female team,  supporting their efforts is very close to our hearts."
